Dr. Kevorkian is in Feb 01, 2009
By N.B It says it works for ipod touch. I plugged in my ipod touch. It doesn't read my ipod touch. Now valuesoft has my money and I have a new frisby. In other words you can find cheaper frisbys and definitely better programs.

UTTER GARBAGE! Feb 01, 2009
By T. Diener
"Dark Matter"
Ditto everthing else already said, but with this addition: NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHATSOEVER. If you link to the "software" company's technical help website, you'll find absolutely nothing of any use. There's no way of even sending an email to their tech support. You could try snail mail - they do give you that address - but by the time you've found out how rinky dink this "company" is, you'll probably decide to eat the money you've lost and get on with your life. Avoid this one like the plaque.

Save your money - try a different product Oct 26, 2008
By J. Ard I have two ipods and wished to share the playlists between each one (my playlists are rather lengthy and it takes a while to build them from scratch). I installed the software and it immediately crashed. It then crashed the 3x after that I tried to open the program. Finally, on the 4th try it opened. The program kept advising me that I needed to set the ipod to manually manage music and enable disk usage. Both settings were already set. The program then found one ipod but would not find my second which was attached. The program said iTunes was not installed and to ensure I opened iTunes after performing the Tools installation. I did and it still proclaimed I had no iTunes installed even though I had it open in another window. In frustration I turned everything off, came back an hour later and presto: iTunes and both ipods are detected. For the next 30 minutes I told myself I had made a great purchase. Transferred my playlists from the ipod to iTunes (fresh install, remember) had everything set the way I wanted and exited the program. Later I thought I would check some settings and once again iTunes was supposedly not installed. I did everything I could think of including reinstalling Tune Tools various times. The great flaw: there is no way to change the file directory to point the program to where your iTunes folder is located. Although I have it installed on my C drive under the default settings, Tune Tools continued to search in my E drive. There is no way change where it searches so as far as Tune Tools was concerned I didn't have iTunes. I even went so far as to reinstalling iTunes under my E drive thinking that then it would locate the right folder...didn't work. After several more installs of iTunes and Tune Tools trying different configurations I gave up. I'm praying the store I purchased this coffee coaster from will take it back and give me store credit. If you can get the program to function correctly it's a great value but I wouldn't risk my money and time on this one again. There are other programs out there that are supposed to do the same thing- I'll try one of them.

Stay away! Danger! Jul 21, 2008
By RSG Stay far away. Does NOT do what it says it will do. I was trying to recover 6 video files I had bought on iTunes, but lost on the hard drive of my mac. They were on my iPod, so I figured this software was a good investment over the repurchase price. Boy, was I wrong! The 1st thing it decided to do was to unsync, and cause itunes to wipe my iPod, thus I lost the 6 files I bought the product to try to save! Then it took about 4 hours to reload my iPod (60 gig, all video, no music files).
Maybe I screwed up, but I followed the instructions, and lost my files. This review is MY opinion, but I won't attempt to use it again.
